Marla Kovner has been planning events in the Marblehead area for nearly five years. After interning with several event planning and wedding consulting firms, Marla became passionate about planning weddings. "I saw the stress that brides went through and wanted so badly to help them", stated Marla in a 2004 magazine article about wedding day stress. "I knew I could. I love bringing lifelong dreams to life." Marla returned to the classroom and completed the Professional Planners Certification program through the ACME Coalition of Bridal Consultants. 

Marla soon opened By Invitation Only. Although she was qualified to plan any event, she wanted to focus her energy primarily on weddings and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. She opened her own business, so she would be free of commissions and any other compromising arrangements. She was determined to only serve the interests of her clients.

Marla has since planned hundreds of memorable weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. From the spectacular to the simple. Marla has earned a reputation as the smart choice for anyone wanting to create a magical event.
